Currently, handle slots in Altair® Louvre Galleries are all the same length, regardless of whether the louvre opens fully or has its opening (and corresponding handle travel) restricted. In some cases, this has resulted in damage to the louvre mechanism due to users assuming that the handle can travel further and therefore applying excess force. To reduce the chances of users unwittingly damaging the louvre mechanism of galleries with restricted openings, Breezway will be shortening the handle slot lengths to correspond to the travel of the handles.
Products affected include:
- 152mm Altair® Louvre Galleries with openings restricted at 100mm
- 152mm Altair® Louvre Galleries with openings restricted at 80mm
- 102mm Altair® Louvre Galleries with openings restricted at 80mm
Effective date:
This change will apply to all orders received from 1st June, 2020.
Altair® Louvres with restricted openings, but with full length handle slots, which are required to match existing jobs will be available on request.
